Map key
"X" marks the spot of the Los Angeles County Public Health Department (LACPH), including the Department of Public Health Vital Records. On Figueroa Street, just south of Temple Street
"A" = the bus stop across the street where I debarked from the bus, a.k.a. probably the easiest and fastest way I could have gotten back to downtown
"B" = Metro line # 60 bus stop that is the closest on the return route back to downtown Los Angeles. According to Google maps, it is a 0.1-mile or 3-minute walk, on Hope Street, just south of Temple Street
"C" = Metro line # 60 bus stop that is the closest to LACPH and is on the part of the route that runs both ways. According to Google maps, it is 1.2-mile or 25-minute walk.
"D" = Oh, wait, there is no "D" on the map. That's because "D" is so far off the map that I would have to almost double the map's height and width just to show it. If I remember correctly, it was on Broadway around Pico, which would make it a 2.1 mile/ 42-minute (not including time out for shopping) walk, where I finally found a bus stop for the southbound Metro #40 bus line.
Red lines = part of the route for Metro bus line # 60 to and from downtown Los Angeles that runs both ways
Green lines = route of Metro bus line # 60 that runs only in the direction that the arrow at the end of each line is pointing
Blue line = Temple Street (along with the green line that joins it just above "B")
